Yup like most, I broke a slider key in my transmission and i've only got 4th gear. How complex are these transmissions? Any special tools needed after the case is removed to hold anyting together? Any info to stirr me in the right direction would be appreciated.

If I let a reputable shop do it it's 300 labor plus the 99.00 billet part. Should I let the shop do it and only have to worry about taking it out once or try it myself and take a chance on having to take it out again? I've rebuilt 4speeds with ease, just not been in anyting else. Thanks

If you have done a Top Loader/side loader you'll love the T-56, I use my differential jig to hold the trans (it's just easier for me) just about everything will easily come out the front of the trans if nessasary.
