OP- our snow was pretty much the same, not really that deep but it was WINDY as heck all day yesterday. When I around the house, there some spot are a few inches deep to 2ft deep. Kind of like you see at your place.
I had to run to a friends house today and they live in a cul-de-sac that wasn't plowed. They had at least 12"s of snow and it was a ball getting to the driveway. I have a 02' Ford Explorer so I have IFS front and rear, made getting through snow easy
I'm north of you in enid and it's pretty much the same hear. thankfully my cobra is sitting in the garage on bald rear tires so even if I had to I couldnt get it past the waist high drift in the driveway.
Its not the snow that kills cars, its the salt on the roads. Back in 2003, it hadn't snowed in close to a month as new years eve hit. The roads were dry, and a lot of the salt residue had been rinsed away. Hangover Fest is held Jan 1st at Cordova Dragway every year. It seemed like a fun idea. Here I am attempting to heat up the slicks in 30 degree weather...
Traction was no where to be found. I went sideways at the top of every gear. I made 2 passes, and said screw it. I went to put the street tires back on, and my locking lug nut key snapped. Fine, I'll just drive home on the slicks, its only 15 miles. I get home, park it, and pissed, I say I will deal with it later. 3 days later, I finally got the slicks off....
