I can give my address if anyone would like to help with a case study on the protective nature of his breed ;) .

It took 2 years for ours to really start doing what was expected, this has to be one of the most stubborn breeds there is lol, with our newborn though if you weren't supposed to be near her you weren't getting near her period so i know what your saying about the protectiveness.

We are not sure. He is a rescue from Missouri.
We think he has some beagle and jack russel in him.
I can definitely see both breeds in him. Jack Russel colors and face as well as a Beagle face.

Well we went out today and for the first time the boys got something. Most of the time they’ll find them but can’t catch them. When my black lab was alive they caught stuff quite often. This full grown rabbit was caught by the little one who’s 11 years old. Needless to say I’m proud of them.
