When Whipple designed the 2.9L they didn't test fit any aftermatket rails with it. They based the plenum off of the stock rails. Unfortunately we don't have control of that and only found out after the 2.9L was released. With that being said we've had several members of this forum verify that the DX rails fit the non crusher 2.9L and some which say they don't. I'm unsure of why but that's just what we've heard.
