As long as they still offer flex fuel or E85. Plus, I run E15 in my 4runner and it saves me about $4 per fill up. Due the amount of driving I do that is around $70 per month in savings, and $800-$850 per year. Depending on what I have going on, I may fill up twice in one day. And I haven't noticed any difference in fuel mileage of E10.

No difference. I average about 18mpg on both when driving the same route.

I could maybe see close to no difference if you are comparing E10 to E15, but even then I would expect about a .5 mpg difference in your case.

That's not possible

E10 vs E15 is not all that different. At the most I may sacrifice .5mpg. But that is not even testable. That could be the difference of 2mph average speed over the course of a tank. I am comparing E10 to E15. The prices difference between the two is what I am gauging everything from. Pure gasoline isn't available in my area. There is a .28 cent difference between E15 (88 octane) and E10 mid grade (89 octane) where I live.

It is testable, you just have to be diligent.

Well if it is testable, then I see no difference. I drive sometimes 800-1,000 miles per week. I see no difference.

What has me concerned is that the price of e85 is starting to surpass 87 octane.

I'm sure the supply chain is figuring out that enthusiasts want this fuel and it will start being priced like race gas.

E15 has 2% less energy than E10, so it will need to be 2% cheaper to be economical. I pay $2.11 a gallon for E15 where E10 Mid grade is $2.39. I am using mid grade in my calculations because that is what I run when not running E15. That is a 12% savings. So in turn, I am saving money.

I think that is correct anyway. Don't shoot me if I am wrong.

not at my post...
I am currently running my 14 GT on E85, switch back to gasoline in the winter. Would be nice to have regular gasoline again, though I suppose that isn't going to happen. I fear prices of E85 would rocket up if they weren't producing it to blend E10|E15.

Pretty sure E85 is safe I believe 40% of corn or close goes to ethanol. Iowa produces the most corn. Corn is the most subsidized crop. Iowa is politically important since they vote first. No one is dumb enough to **** with corn subsidies.

87 is 2.30 here. E85 is 3.00+

You can thank the corn subsidies.
