Hey guys. I have a 1990 Mustang 5.0 that is leaking power steering fluid at a fast rate. Once I fill it back up it is very driveable but squeaks when the wheel is turned to each side. The fluid leaks pretty fast and it gets harder to turn after maybe only 30 minutes worth of driving.

I know that the power steering pump is bad and is going to get replaced in a week (as well as the hoses) but was wondering if there was any other signs I should look for that might suggest the rack is bad as well. I hope that's not the case.

Thanks everybody!

Just if the rack is leaking. If you are getting leaks through either end, then the rack seals are bad and you need to replace it as well.
