Knock sensors

I have a 2003 mach 1, and doing a teksid swap, high compression, centri blower w/ e85. I will be using a ported 99/01 intake, and I know that I will most likely run into clearance issues between the knock sensors and lower intake. Based on research, it looks like there are mixed opinions on whether or not knock sensors are needed. What do you all think? If determined they are needed, how can I make my mach sensors work with the teksid? All input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

You can technically run the car fine without knock sensors. 03/04 cobras don't have them because the lower intake would hit them. However, unless the teksid block puts the sensor in a different place than what I saw on my 04 block, you shouldn't have any clearance issues.

Ok thanks! I have seen others doing the swap that have run into the issue, and I looks to be due to the sensor type being different. Do both the teksid and wap blocks have a threaded knock sensor design?
