Pretty slick sharpener setup. I've looked at the worksharp precision one a few times but haven't pulled the trigger.

Anyone have any suggestions for a kitchen knife set? We've had the same Henckels set for 30 years and it's time for an upgrade.

The wife was looking at these and likes them a lot.

Was wondering if anyone knows anything about this brand.

if youve never played around with other OTF, then you are spoiled… thats a helluva pick for a first one.
We are finally allowed to carry autos starting Saturday so figured I needed to get prepared

My wife loves the Ninja set I got her for Xmas. I got her the stand that comes with a built-in sharpener, but it's not used a lot, since these knives retain their edges well. You can easily take apart the scissors and use the sharpener on it as well.

Those are some really nice knives. I'm wondering how they can sell a set so cheap though.
No idea, I use to buy expensive skillets and knives and I found it easier to just replace them annually. I just bought three of these....I dig them...cheap. ($40.00) Benchmade also has some I posted up above a few pages that I like but definitely not cheap.

We have some cheaper knives in the RV and I never hear the end of complaints about them. Might be because they don't get sharpened. Never think about it when getting ready to go and forget about them once we get back.

So new knife....had never heard of this brand but Klaus was kind enough to drop ship one to me after I had sent him one of the $50.00 fake Benchmades I had bought. Was curious what he thought on the quality of the clone. Totally didn't expect anything in return. It was just for shits and giggles. So after using it for a few weeks I really dig it. Blade stays sharp, love the blade shape, little assist at opening towards the end of travel. Small enough to carry and completely forget you even have it, till you need it. Definitely a nice little carry. I think it's a huge waste of money but the shipping container was crazy nice taking into consideration the cost of the knife and that you don't need it for anything after delivery. I should have got pics of that, lol. Would Recommend.

I’m looking at the Spyderco Chaparral for a daily carry that’s small enough to forget about but still remain useful.

Anyone familiar with the Chaparral, particularly the carbon model?

This is my favorite for a smaller, lightweight EDC blade. Spyderco Delica Wave.

Current EDC is an Endura Wave.

Am I the only one who can't see the links!?!?

I can see the links and they work.

Does that hook on the top of the closed blade get caught on stuff? Seems like it would be an annoyance.

Its to deploy the blade, catches on the top of your pocket and opens it as you remove it. Personally wont own a EDC blade without that function.

That is a Freek, correct? Large or small? I have been thinking of a large Freek to replace my Presidio, which is just far too heavy for what it is.
Yes, it's a Freek. It gutted about 60 sockeye last weekend. It's a little bigger than I like to carry on a daily basis, but it worked well for the fishing trip.
