Hey guys, I have been lurking for years and got my 5th mustang, 2013 auto 5.0. I haven't had a mustang in 3 years finally got a good deal on this 2013. I knew it had a issue when I got it but figured it would be simple fix.
Select shift is not working. I opened the console and saw the plug that operates it was undone. I plugged it up and no problems select shift is working, but then key would not come out. I unplugged it and key comes out. There is a sensor on bottom left of shifter that has red and black wire, I wanted to see if that was the cause. I cut the red wire. I could then plug shift select back in turn key to on position and I could get key back out, before I could not. Now though with that red wire cut the car won't start, so obviously I soldered it back together. Is there a way to fix this issue, or do I need a hole shift assembly. Thx
