Kenne Bell BAP problem

I am trying to install a BAP with a lethal wiring upgrade and can not get my pumps to run at all with the BAP. The pumps run fine without it and I have it wired the same as the how to and the instructions from lethal show, and have checked it many times with different sources of the same information. The only thing I don't know is if the BAP is not working or if the relay that comes with the lethal wiring upgrade is not working. If any one has any information on how to know if these things aren't working properly I would appreciate it.

I suppose I could hook the relay up to a 12v source and see if it makes a connection. I will give that a try.

edit; I gave power to 86 and grounded 85, and I assume that that should have made a connection between sockets 87 and 30, which it did not. So now I am pretty sure I have a faulty relay. Thanks Cobracide, I was at a loss with what to do when my pumps didn't prime.
