I love my ride, but, I do catch myself thinking about a bone stock automatic 2011 GT with an aftercooled V-2 on it. 550 rwhp in a stock, new'ish GT with some 19's, dropped and tinted would be bad ass. 550 centri rwhp on an automatic would be brutal on the street too.

Get an S197, such a nicer car than the cobra. They handle great, they have a terrific engine in them, 3V FTMFW, easy to mod. For a DD you can't pick a nicer mustang, I road race and auto cross mine along with daily driver duties and it has never once let me down.

The S197 chassis is superior to SN95.

If this was an 03/04 Cobra or Mach1 or 99/01 cobra vs a 05-10 GT, it would be a hard choice, but a 96 Cobra? Go for it, youll get a car with more power, a more rigid chassis, and IMO more potential, especially for road course/autoX. Only thing being if the Cobra is paid off vs having car payments, you can do alot of shit to that '96 for the cost of a 05-10 GT.

Of course if youre talking about an '11 GT, then theres absolutely no way I wouldnt go that route over the 96 Cobra.

Your opinion is 100% wrong.

You think a 96 Cobra has more potential than a 05-10 GT?

You sir are so wrong. Hell you can put a shitload of boltons and suspension goodies and the S197 will still drag it around the track.

Sorry but the S197 is HUGE in road course/autoX circles.

So you are saying that the powerplant from an 05-10 GT is a better platform than a 4.6 4V?

If its the occasional auto x/cross runs and still be a DD, why not keep the Cobra? If its serious racing and not DD duties, I would go with the S197.

If it were me I'd probably get the S197 but since it's not me this post is irrelevant.
