KB pulley swap

I plan on doing a swap here in the next couple of weeks - I haven't done one yet though. Could someone give me some tips and feedback as to the best way (you personally) of going about this is and what to avoid doing. Also, Kenne Bell suggests I use one of their pulley pullers, but is there alternatives to using that tool to remove the pulley?
