KB Boost Cooler Kit.....Need Help

I have the kit installed on my Lightning. It has been on there for a while but I was just wondering if I should hook it up. I have a tune without it, but will it hurt anything? Also, when I put the power wire to the terminal it automatically starts to run. What should I do? Just hard wire it to the terminal or what? Thanks a lot guys. Run it through a switch. As far as hooking it up and getting a tune, I would call a tuner. Pat'll be back in the shop tomarrow but I think Blaines there now
