Current motor is a stock long block 01 cobra with a P1SC making 450. Just bought a forged low compression long block with blower cams installed. This motor has a 99-01 Kenne Bell intercooled 2.1 kit on it. I look to only be missing the heat exchanger. Kit has a 3.75 pulley and is supposed to be making 14-15 lbs of boost on the six rib setup. No firm number but told approaching 600hp.

Here is the issue. Am I better off with a goal of 600-650 sticking with the KB kit as i will keep that motor and add the full length headers to it and see what it does and up the pulley if needed or swap the lower compression forged long block and use the Procharger with a smaller pulley / convert to D1SC and smaller pulley / other mods to the procharger to get to 600?
anyone with first hand info on the KB would be welcome and apprecisted. Mostly dated info on this kit.

Sell the P1 and KB and pick up a D1. Unless you really want to get silly then get an F1A. Oh , and convert it 8 rib.

You'll max out the KB 2.1 at around 600-625 rwhp. That's about its limits. I specifically remember 2v guys maxing out around that level ages ago.

Honestly I'd ditch both superchargers at buy a D1 as suggested above.

If your goals were 5-550 I'd keep the Kenne Bell.

P1SC can be converted to a D1 by procharger. Thinking it’s 1600 or so.

I know the P1 kit is an easier sell but not sure of the interest in a KB kit

i read the other thread but didn’t want to clutter it up with the this Vs that part of my question.

big part to me at least is not having to convert the KB to a 8 rib and same with the procharger. Trying to do this without going over budget, although that means cheaper the better is my guess at this point

either way I am going fore return dual pump for fuel delivery

You'll want to convert to 8 rib. Even if you kept the KB you'd want to covert to 8 rib at some point. The smaller pullies will slip easier.

You don't need to sell the whole P1 kit. The P1, D1, and F1A share the same bracket.

If you decide to sell the kb kit, I am interested in it and have PayPal funds waiting

I need to talk to my tuner and figure this out. I will get ahold of you first if the KB goes up for sale.
