K&N FIPK w/o Hood Blanket

Anyone running this combination? I've heard that the fipk doesn't seal properly whene the blanket is missing. It seems like this would defeat some of the purpose. :shrug:

I am .. no issues ... FYI ... even w/ the hood blanket, I doubt mine sealed. I would wet the top part of the FIPK housing and shut the hood ... the blanket wasn't wet when I would open it back up (anywhere) ..

I'm running a FIPK without the hood blanket. I had the same concerns too but after having it off for awhile I don't think it makes a big difference.

I am running it without and have the jlt ram air and my intake temps are to high. Where can I find replacment

k&n fipk w/ no hood blanket for me. even if it did "seal" w/ the blanket on i doubt it makes any difference.
