I had planned on ordering the K&N Aircharger #63-1051, but it is not listed on 4filters.com anymore.

Now they have a Fuel Injection Performance Kit #57-2545 listed for the same price.

Are these the same thing? If so, why did they change the numbers? If not, what are the differences.

Anyone have any idea?

Thanks in advance!

From what i have seen,FIPK was on older models. Find and order the 63-1051 Aircharger. I just put mine on last week and it pumps your S/C up to 10 and a real SOTP's differnce. K&N borrowed my car as the test mule, they used my car for all the pictures in the directions for install as well.

The difference b/w an Aircharger name and the FIPK name is the smog certification. The FIPK kits have been certified for emissions and the Airchargers have not. That doesn't mean the kits are different, K&N just doesn't call it a FIPK kit until it is certified to pass emissions. K&N was working to get the airchargers certified so they could sell them as FIPK units earlier this year. Maybe they finally got that taken care of so there is no more aircharger?

Call K&N and see or check out their website to try and find pics. Does it specify the FIPK is for the 03 Cobras? They didn't have a FIPK kit for the 03, only the aircharger kit. So if they have a FIPK kit now, it is my bet that it is the same as the aircharger, just certified for emissions.

Yeah K&N website lists the FIPK for the 2003 Cobra, but has no Aircharger listed anymore.

Thanks for the info, I will try and call K&N sometime today.

Go to http://knfilters.com/aircharger/aircharger.htm
and look at the picture for the 63-1051 aircharger. Then go to http://knfilters.com/FIPK/fipkinstr.htm and look at the 57-2545. The two pics are identical so I would bet that the aircharger has been changed to a FIPK unit now. The dyno graph shown for the FIPK is for a 2003 Cobra as well...

EDIT: Here is a link to the directions for the FIPK unit. It looks curiously similar to the Aircharger directions...

I just installed my FIPK #57-2545 last night. For $169 shipped to my door my boost gauge reads 10lbs. and my Cobra has alot more throttle response! Sweet setup too. The only difference from the 63-1051 is that the FIPK #57-2545 passes the smog tests.
