Did the guy in the black Terminator at MW 2014, that crossed the median and hit oncoming traffic get arrested or was he just cuffed for further investigation? We drove by just after it happened, but I guess he was in the car. Glad nobody was seriously hurt!

Also, what keeps the police from keeping the "instigators" on the side of that road (Hwy 17), away? Those people were pretty close to the road and shouting obscenities if you did respond to their requests. I just wondered if it would be easier to control the people rather than the traffic, in that situation?

Unfortunately, it isn't illegal to be a bystander along the side of a secondary road in most places. Not 100% sure about in SC or MB in particular. Now, from what I saw, the idiots walking in the street and such could definitely be charged.

It was said best in another thread, just post up an officer in a marked car at the exit of the mall, and 99% of the problems would be solved.
