Autos do 'feel' slow, they try to get into 6th gear and lock the converter as soon as possible and they dont downshift very quick. But at a dragstrip they do very well, but they dont jump all around and spin the tires like power shifting a manual thats for sure.

This has been an issue time and time again. Because the car is so smooth and interior NVH has been reduced, people continue to claim the car isn't as fast as their 3V or whatever the case may be. The numbers don't lie! It's a great car for the money and it's the fastest GT to date!
The '07-09 GT500's are great cars with a lot of power potential but I prefer the more balanced, lighter and refined '11 5.0. I couldn't be happier with my '11 5.0!!!

I bought a 2011 gt convertible auto in january and it feels stronger than a manual hardtop I test drove that had 3.55s. I'm not sure how it would do against a manual with 3.73s or a genesis coupe though.
BFD.....still doesn't take away the fact it is a large pile of crap.
I test drove both versions of the Genesis when it came out. I was flabbergasted how shitty they were. Also the A/C couldn't keep up with the Texas heat. Every time I see one on the street I have to wonder what crack pipe that person was smoking that motivated them to spend money on one. :shrug:

I have owned a built/forged 94GT, 03 Lightning, and 3 modded terminators....I got tired of getting smoked by those bada** genesis' so I plan to get one of those next. I just hope I have the balls to get on the gas, what a machine. :rolling:

Which gears did the 11 GT stang that you test drove have ?
Auto or Manual?
I originally had 3.31 gears and it seemed pretty sluggish for how quick it was.
Switching to 3.73's made quite a difference and a race tune should make feel just right.:rockon:
