Not bad. I'm always looking for a deal on a Typhoon or GNX myself. Maybe one day I will have something that I can play with when I have the time and feel like it.

thanks guys. probably gonna keep it stock. Its already got flowmasters on it and it sounds great and runs strong. I might have to take the tint off the windows though to get an inpection sticker. :fm:

edit: i didnt buy it on ebay by the way. I talked to the guy in person.

Congrats! I am a BIG fan of these cars....G-body FTMFW!!!!

Someday, I will own a 15th Anniversary Hurst/Olds. I love the Lightning Rod shifters in the Hurst ('83/'84 models). I used to have an '85 442, but it was stolen from me back in 1997 .

It use to absolutely drive me crazy when people would ask, "Does that thing have a 442 in it?" :cuss: There are not many people, outside the automotive community, that know what 4-4-2 represents. Own one of these cars and you will see what I am talking about.

Variants of the 4-4-2 meaning

Original meaning:

4 - 4 barrel carb
4 - 4 on the floor
2 - dual exhaust

Then evolved to this:

4 - 400 cubic inches
4 - four barrel
2 - dual exhaust

Then it became known as:

4 - four barrel
4 - four speed automatic
2 - dual exhaust

Quad 4 era:

4 - four cylinder
4 - four valves per cylinder
2 - two camshafts

Take good care of her!

I didn't even know they still made them in the mid 80's. Too bad the 442 name still doesn't come with what it stood for.

code blue- i know what your talking about. people always say "442- thats a good (or big)motor". that sucks that your car was stolen. hope you get another one soon.
