just a quick question with MGW shifter

is it neccessary to lower the transmission during the install on a jack stand? my hands are pretty slim lol..i remeber i saw this somewhere, but cant find it.
install it on 2011 svtpp gt500.

Loosen the cross brace that holds the trans up, will give you a little more room

Yeah I think that I loosened the cross brace on mine. But I had the D/S out at the same time so it was pretty easy.

I dropped the whole trans and unbolted the driveshaft but i was on a lift so it was just easier that way.... Damn that drivers side clip...

Just drop the cross member about an inch. I also removed the two switches on either side of the tranny, that gave lots more room...

It's not required. I woldn't touch anything I didn't have to. It's up to you though. Just make sure everything is secure before you go drive it.
