Just a few pics of the blower removed

Figured I'd post a few of these up.

I ended up breaking 2 intercooler bolts, and the plenum to blower gasket was wayyy gone. Also need another plenum to intake gasket :fm:

Anyway, here ya go.

Gotta call stieg monday morning to get a new price for the gaskets + 2 bolts backed out of the blower, then it's double box time for the
ship to Stieg!

Clean that intercooler. Do you have an oil seperator?

yeah that metal gasket gave me hell when i did my swap. be happy you are replacing it now rather than finding a vacuum leak after you fire it!

No I don't have an oil separator but yes I do need one. My intake and plenum is gunked up, and the car only has 20k on it. Shitty.

I know this is kinda old but what are you guys using to clean the intercooler when the blower is off.

I've used brake cleaner to clean out about 8 of them now with good success.

brake cleaner followed by aluminum wheel cleaner.

I've used brake cleaner to clean out about 8 of them now with good success.

I used break cleaner twice on my lower intake. No harm at all. Clean that thing out and ad an oil seperator! lol
