Actually the idea behind this is scientifically proven, if 600 million humans would jump axactly the same time on the western hemisphere, they would knock Earth into a new orbit.
Whether or not it can be orchestrated is highly unlikely.

No, the Earth's rotational cycle wouldn't be effected. In fact one of the benefits of the higher orbit around the sun with the same 24 hour rotational cycle would be longer daylight hours.

I remember this coming up when I was in high school. Some nong wanted to try it so our whole class had to jump up and down, scaring the sh1t outa the teacher in the next room (she thought it was an earthquake). Bottom line, 28 kids doing it exactly together is highly unlikely.

Now, lets see 600 million divided by 28 X highly unlikely = Yup F*cking impossible :-D
