Join our cause|Justin Bieber for Briana

This website is about Briana, a 10-year old Leukemia patient that's currently fighting her third leukemia diagnostic in 18 months.

Briana is the niece of Carlos Morr from MORR Wheels. So far we have gotten MORR, ADV.1, Florida Bimmer and ALUFELGEN' to join the cause and post the link and share it with their fans and show their support.

Please Like the page, post the link in your facebook and share it with your friends. Vendors, please help us with this cause and do the same.

This is her story:

On October 3rd, 2010, 9-year old Briana, was taken to the hospital to be treated for a minor fever and a few hours later we were given the shocking news that no parent wants to hear. Briana was diagnosed with Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia (AML). AML is a rare form of Leukemia characterized by the rapid growth of abnormal white blood cells which interferes with the production of normal blood cells.

The pain and the shocking news was overwhelming. As parents, we decided that we were willing to give the last penny in order to cure this disease. 48 hours later, Briana was flown from Dominican Republic to one of the best hospitals in Florida o start treatment.

After arriving, we spent 6 intense weeks in the hospital, with 20 long days of continuos painful chemotherapy treatment. A few days after the treatment was done, Doctors said that her condition was good enough for her to go home. We had to find a place close to the hospital and we found a place just one hour away.

On this first stage, Briana defeated her Leukemia with very little effort. We were delighted, blessed and very grateful to God for such a quick victory. To make sure the Leukemia will not come back, Briana was given chemotherapy for 7 excruciating months and after that we flew back to our home.

Back in our home, we had several joyful months having trust that the disease was gone. On October 25th 2011, however, Briana was diagnosed with Leukemia, for the second time.

She was flown back to the US, and was given chemotherapy once again with the hopes of taking Briana into remission and then be able to perform a bone narrow transplant but the Leukemia was not giving in. The Doctors said that we take the risk and still do the transplant. Already decided, we started the preparations for the transplant. She had to be taken twice a day to the hospital, in an ambulance, to perform Radiation Therapy for a total of 4 days and then right after she was given 24 continuous hours of chemotherapy. The next day she was given one more day of chemotherapy before being allowed to rest. Three days later, the transplant was scheduled.

We already knew the only option at this point was a bone narrow transplant so we started the dreadful task of finding a matching donor. We tested all family members with no luck. Her last hope was, Emmanuel, her older brother. After the testing was done, Emmanuel was a 99% match, nearly an identical donor, to Briana which was certaintly a gift from God since a matching donor gives better changes of curing her leukemia.

The entire transplant process was the hardest. Very painful, a lot of work and team effort to accomplish it. Briana loss all her hair, her skin was burnt because of all the radiation treatment, she lost so much weight. She was placed in isolation due to her weak immune system and visits were limited, required sterile gowns, masks, gloves and overshoe attire, and children visits, although welcomed, were not advisable. This process lasted 40 days, until February 23rd, 2012, when her transplant was done.

After the transplant was performed, Briana was Leukemia free for a second time. This posed a new challenge. She had no defense against any health threat, she was weak, very fragile but with new hopes. The disease was gone

During this whole process, Briana and I have been alone in the US. We have managed to make very good friends who have given us all of their support, transportation, and a shoulder to rest. God’s love never lacked.

Thank you everyone.

You may want to add a more obvious connection to Justin Bieber. I skimmed it, but couldn't quite figure out the main point.
