Just reading the book by John again. Came across some awesome footage on YouTube. My local track 1963 USRRC race in Kent, Washington. The last race Shelby team members road tripped like any other race team. Two pickups, towing two Cobras, parts thrown in the bed. Drive from California. Just such a amazing time in motorsport. Cars of all kinds, drivers that were men, and cars were real mechanical beasts.

Cool Pics of Cars, and Drivers

Here is some great Video of the race

Also, if you like hydro races, air planes, and escaping Czech government rule after WWII. A Race to Freedom, the Mira Slovak story is a great read. Couldn't put it down. Just thought I'd share some cool ol' racing.
