Anybody install a JMS Pedal Max? Understa nd how it can change rate, but how does it address dead zone in accelerator pedal? Looks like a lot of money.

Get a tune instead.
All it does is trick the car into thinking you're pressing the pedal more than you are. Like if you press the pedal 20% it sends 40% or whatever you set the ramp to.

I've got the tune, but updates aren't free. Also, it does appear that accelerator pedal has a slight lag. Not sure how JMS box could fix.

You might want to look at Pedal Commander. I put one on my truck. Pedal Commander has several levels of adjustability. I cranked it all the way up, difficult to take off with slamming your head into headrest...lol... I found a sweet spot though. I chose this for my truck because the pedal seemed laggy and I didn't want to mess with programmer because of warranty. Pedal Commander with KN CAI on Hemi is enough for me.
