We started testing kits on the 2005 GT last few weeks.
First we tried just replacing the intake system and no way. As many know they will go crazy lean with out a tune. The new MAF set up is totally different.
For this kit I (JLT) teamed up with local tuning experts Dyno Tuned Performance www.DTPRacing.com for tuning with the SCT Excalibrator.

So the only way to mod these cars is to tune for the mod. So we went back on the dyno for a day of testing and found great results. 39 RWHP and 35 RWTQ Same day, before and after.

The JLT replaces the whole induction system from the TB to the filter.
Not JUST and filter and adaptor

It will also have a heat shield for the exhaust.(not in pic) There is a ton of open area on these cars so at speed (even low speed)heat isn't a issue.

This car was stock head to toe.
We then got a 05 GT with a Automatic and loaded the same tune and a JLT CAI system. BAMB, Repeated results. This car was also stock except for the JLT and SCT.

This will be ready in a week or so and pricing will be $575 for the DTP custom tuned SCT Excalibrator and the complete JLT induction set up in black, color up grade will be $25 extra.

Next up is the 2004 F-150.

so how much did the air intake itself give? You could have used 2 tunes to test it...one tune for the stock intake, and one tune for the aftermarket one.

We did this on the 3rd car. The JLT was worth a solid 8-12 RWHP and RWTQ across the board. This was over a custon tune for the stock air box.
With the kit you get both tunes.
