For all of you guys living in a dorm room without a stove to cook on. The perfect way to make jiffy pop is as follows:
1. make sure you do it somewhere where there is no carpet. Were lucky enough in my dorm to have porsalin[spellcheck on that] tiled floors.)
2. cut a coke can in half, or any aluminum 12 ounce can will do.
3. fill it with 91 percent alcohol, you could use 70% but it doesnt burn as well.
3. light the alcohol in the can on fire.
4. Be sure to hover the pan an inch or so above the edge of the can, if you hold it too far away it will burn (found that out last night).
5. from there its all a matter of following the directions... hover until you here the stuff sizzling and then shake the pan over the flame. (just ignore the thing that says dont cook on open uneven flame, thats just there for the inexperienced)
6. pop that bad boy open and enjoy!
Make sure you clean the carbon off the bottom of the pan before you set it down.
You can also cook marshmellow this way too. Just unbend a paper, clip stick the marshmellow on the end and hold it over the flame, and enjoy! :thumbsup:
