I'm gonna go ahead and finally put my new clutch in tomorrow and was wondering where the best places for the jack stands are... Also any tips to make the process easier?

I usually put them under the frame rails as far forward and back as possible. Lots of extensions to get to the top bolts.
Wasnt there a DIY or FAQ Tech Tip on this?

How high will the car have to be in order to slide the trans and bell housing out?
Pretty high. A tranny is under 18" I'd say
