I've been an avid gamer for pretty much my entire life. I have to say the newer games like Skyrim are breathtaking to say the least regarding the graphics and scenery, but what I love in a game are detail design, plot depth, music, and replayability, which newer games tend to lack (due to companies investing in graphics over a couple decent writers and planners), granted I am also jaded from repetitive play of all genres. That being said, mine are as follows: 1. World of Warcra[ck]ft (#1, because it is infinitely replayable, epic cinematics, absolutely fluid gameplay, and the plot is almost always gripping - if you read it, and thank gawd I am free of this crack now) 2. Morrowind (because levitation, that is all) 3. GTA: SA 4. Final Fantasy VI-X (of these, # VII is always the classic, but these were all very good games.) 5. Halo Honorable Mentions: Settlers of Catan (board game) Quake III Skyrim (great graphics, but otherwise repetitive plot.) Mortal Kombat (always a classic, all of them) Starcraft(s) Half-Life(s) Portal(s) Bioshock (all) Diablo II. (so many hours of my life that I will never get back)
