So then you passively stand in the door so as to block them as they carry your TV to the door. If they approach you, then you are in the clear to use force to defend yourself. Note the escalation to a completely different statute that has nothing to do with property now.
That was the point I was making.
Regardless of laws on property and force, there is something you can do to make things difficult for the intruder that is not illegal, which may or may not cause the intruder to escalate into a completely different set of circumstances and laws that aren't related to property.
And the idea of you provoking the intruder to escalate is invalid, otherwise a bank robber could say the cops chasing him provoked him to shoot. The criminal is always the one who initiates the unlawful escalation by choice.
