if you read down it says the 99 cobra actually had less than 300 hp. is that actual fact because i havent heard that anywhere else?

It has been a known fact for a long time that the 99 Cobra's were not producing the rated 320 HP that it was supposed to. There is even a "Fix" (Exhaust, Reflash, etc...) for the 99 Cobra's. You can call SVT or any Ford Dealership Service Department, give them the VIN & they will tell you when & if the car has undergone the Fix."

Most Cobra's that have had the "Fix" produced between 270-227 RWHP which translates into the 320 HP @ the crank (+/-) a few ponies.

The 01 Cobra's came out with that issue resolved & the 03's came out underated. :beer:

Per SVT the base HP reading at te wheels after the fix should be 269 HP.. Really sucks when a 2001 doesn't even make this and the dealer blows you off and SVT gives you the run around..

what are the 03 cobras actually running at the crank then? ive read some stuff on here about how they were underated and forgot what they said the actual hp was.

The 03 are on the low side of 400.

Sorry but it ranges from 420 - 435 at the crank.
Good amount of 03Cobras are putting down 360 - 375 HP & TQ is almost the same.
