Is the steering rack worth much/anything?

I am thinking about taking off my factory original steering rack and components and selling them pretty cheap. I am thinking about upgrading to 03 Cobra specs. Should I do this? My parts are clean and in very good used condition.

Are the cobra's different than a regular fox body?

I have no idea about the difference. I also dont know if the swap is worth it in terms of performance.

Does anyone even make an adapter to use the 94-04 Racks on the fox bodies. The input shaft on the rack where the rag-joint attaches is totally different between the two body styles.

All 87-93 5.0 (Cobra/GT/LX)use the same 15:1 R&P .... its not worth a whole lot, but if the rack is still tight and not leaking then I would much rather have it than a crappy "reman" unit.

The 03 cobra racks are a bit better, the one you want is the 00'R rack p/n.

well this was a potential deal with my brother since we went under there and found play in the rack but I think he may go remanned now
