Sounds like your doing what I did and I regret it. My first stang was a 91 Notch FRIGGIN clean but anyway the trans busted & I could of 5-speed swapped it and been on my merry way but I didn't want to fix it. Missed that notch so much and was pissed at myself young and retarded I know. What made me even more upset was the new owner 5-speed swapped it and put a cam in there and ran a 12.7. Notch only had 8x,xxx miles on it. :nonono:

Keep the car and build it!

TERMI SWAP

/thread

You could sell the v2 and some of the other parts and half the build fund started

Selling my 2v this weekend

Found a 2v with 30k on it

Termi swap would be great but too much I'm 23 just graduated college and working I'm lucky enough to have this and my 13 f150 as it is

Something crazy down the line but a nice low mile 2v will let me drive her for a while at least

Are you selling the car as a whole and getting a new low mileage GT? Or are you just buying a low mileage 2v engine?

I cried like a bitch when I traded my 01 GT in (okay, not really, but you get the idea). I had that thing for years. Not only was it my first Mustang, it was my first car purchase. That car and I went through many great memories. All I had on it was a lowering kit, cold air, and a pypes violator catback, but it was all I needed... I was going to build it and supercharge it, but I saw a hole I would be digging for myself and there are always hidden costs with project cars (I don't have time for projects at this time in my life sadly). I then started looking at Terminators, but they were too close in price to a newer car. I had dreams of building that 01, and maybe someday I'll buy it back (have the Vin) or build another new edge... Right now I drive a black premium 13 5.0 and I couldn't be happier. The void I thought I'd feel with my old baby gone was filled by a dream car... Chances are if you trade up and stay in a V8 Mustang, you won't feel too bad. The performance out of the box leaves nothing but a perma-grin

I think your decision to let her go is wise even though it's hard.

I'd sell it and get a 4v Cobra or Mach. Or something with a blower and low miles.

That's what I'm doing in a couple months.

I would keep it. I had the same question but if you are into modding your cars the next one is going to get modded also. You might as well keep this one and go to town on it.

Yea I'm leaning towards keeping it simply because of sentimental value

Still for sale until running though

My 2cents: Lets say u have 16k in the car (car+mods+repairs+whatever), sell the blower, let the car sit for a 6 months to a year, after some time passes then begin repairing it. It gives you enough time to start missing the car and not be so upset with it....

Ive been there... I was hating the car and wanted to sell it.... now its lightly modded, never ran hard (i dont want to break anything) and rarely driven but every time i get in it. I love it.... But with that said I don't think i'd ever sell it....but i dont buy another mustang.

Hell dude, I'd keep it. I just did a full terminator swap on mine, and I'm not looking back. Though I do have this 2v sitting in my garage collecting dust....

Without reading through all the post I sat keep it. It's super clean and I did a4v swap in mine 3 years ago and I bought it off the showroom floor as a gt in 02. I also painted it candy orange and put a twin turbo on it blah blah. The best part is I still pay insurance on agt lol

being that this car is what it is, it will be worth something "one day" but right now its too many one the market for dirt cheap, to make selling it worth while

Keep it! Take your time and build a nice NA 2v... You can get a built and prepped short block for cheap now a days! If I am not mistaken you said you had a blower and intercooler now? Sell it and get you a short block or build one it'll be alot of fun if you have the time and tools... Yeah I know this thread is a month old, let me have it!!
