how big was mars in the sky anyway someone told me it was going to be a 1/4 the size of the moon

it wasnt mars .. it was a lunar eclipse .. if mars looked as big as the moon there would be huge gravity pull and tides would be all messed up. it was just the moon getting shadowed by the earth or something weird.
