When I was in my Cobra, I saw that many people just cut their stock springs instead of buying aftermarket ones....anyone do this on S-197's?

I think the springs on an S197 are progressive rate and can't be cut.
I bought these from summit racing and they work great. and the best price.

I was just wondering....it's easy to do on older stangs and it works good, just wanted to see if it was common practice with S-197s. I think I am going to just do it right...springs for s197 run for decent prices, why would u cut the stockers
i have the FRPP handling package on my car and i kind of want it a little bit lower, is it possible for me to buy Eibach lowering springs and put those on the car instead of the FRPP ones?? is this possible?
