Illinois has a pretty bad history with its governors! its the last paragraph that caught my eye: "Ryan is not the first former Illinois governor to go on trial. Otto Kerner, governor of Illinois from 1961 to 1968, was convicted in 1973 of fraud, bribery and other charges. In 1987, Dan Walker, who served from 1973 to 1977, pleaded guilty to bank fraud and perjury. Earlier, William Stratton, governor from 1953-1961, was acquitted of tax evasion charges four years after he left office." damn you guys sure know how to pick em!

Any conspiracy theories being thrown into the hat by the party of the accused? Georgia resident here, there hasnt been anything in a while here, not to my memory anyhow. Georgia has a long history of democrat governers, we have a republican now. Either way, whoever get's charged, his or her party will always blame it on partisan politics.
