Is an after market intercooler needed with smaller sc pulley?

Hello everyone,

I have an 04 Cobra and I am planning on doing the 2.76 sc pulley swap. After doing this will the intercooler need to be upgraded or can the stock intercooler handle the additional heat? :shrug:

Are you talking about the Heat Exchanger? The stock unit will work fine... You will create a little more heat but nothing the stocker can't handle.

Intercooler will be fine but you will need a tune.

I agree stock is good. But given how relatively cheap the aftermarket h/e are without the dual fan feature and given their greater cooling capacity, I would get one.
