Ive researched but havent came up with a definite answer... is it possible to swap the 94-98 solids to an 04 cobra? and is the opposite possible aswell? My buddy has a 95 GT vert that he just uses to daily drive has about 50k miles on it. I asked him if he would want to swap rear ends and he said to find out how difficult it would be. He has his own shop with lifts and tools so he has the experience to do it.

So would any welding or custom fabricating be needed because it is a 95? Anything in particular i should look out for? ive read the how to on the swap but the pictures are no longer available from the site he was hosting them...

Im getting ready to swap an IRS into my 94 gt in a couple months.
From my research I have found out you will have to fabricate some new brake lines.
on the 94-95 gt we have a single line that runs back then splits down the axle.
on the 99+ cars it is 2 seperate brake lines running to the back.

You will have to also swap exhaust cat backs.
You also have to drill holes for the IRS subframe attachment points.

Theres probably going to be a few more minor things to run into also.
Ill try to remember to take detailed pics and maybe make an instruction guide when I do mine.
