IRS springs vs gt's

Whats the Difference between 99 cobra rear springs (irs) and 00-02 gt springs besides the spring rate difference, are they made the same??

Because i ordered a set of B+G springs and the guy that i ordered them from said they will fit any mustang even the irs. He said they make one general spring rate for all mustangs. www.b-gsuspension.com the website does not work good.

GT/Mach I springs have a small coil on the bottom where as the IRS has the same size coils both top and bottm.

Bottom line is they are not interchangeable.

Impossible. The IRS takes a spring rate far greater than that of a stick axle to function correctly.
