irs carrier in a solid

first off, i bought my solid axle supposidly from a 02 GT, slid my moser axles in and they stick out way too far. obviously not a 99-04 rearend. it is 54 1/2 inches axle tube to tube.

secondly i used my irs carrier in the solid and it doesnt look like i can even get my c-clips in......shit! any input is appreciated.

The carrier is identical, with the exception of the side spider gears. They are specifically machined with recesses to allow the click in type snap rings of the cv joints to be retained. Should be no problem using with a solid axle, though.:??:

sounds to be you have a 94-98 axle, they are 3/4 of a inch narrower per side than 99-04's
