IRS Brackets

I just ordered an IRS brace and idler pulleys from billetflow. The web page shows somthing called IRS brackets. What are they and what do they do?

They weld to the top of the rear IRS Subframe mounts and bolt to the inner fenderwell to keep the mount from flexing which causes unwanted movement in the IRS subframe assy. to help aid with traction and stability

I ordered the brace this morning, but the support brackets are out of stock for a couple weeks.
