ipod adapter on 2003 mach 1

My dad has a 2003 mach 1 and was wondering if he could get an ipod adapter to his factor 6 disc radio, the local shop daid they wouldnt be able to do that on his radio and i was wondering if it was true.

It says that but if you call, they will tell you it works. I am telling you I have that same one in my Mach1. It will not work with the non-Mach460 6disc In-dash cd player or the 2004 models. But it works with the 2003 Mach460 system.
