Hey this just started whenI switched wireless router/modem at my house.

Whats happening is my phone will connect to the wireless network fine, but it will not load web pages. It just gives me an error:

"Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding"

Ive unplugged the modem and router for 15 seconds multiple times.
Ive been through the routers settings, turned of wifi protection.
Ive reset the network settings on my 4S.
Ive renewed the lease between the phone and the router.

Before the changing of the router/modem my wifi worked flawlessly at my house.

I'm stumped. Any one else dealing with this? Of course apple online support is nearly nil...

Also, I might add... that my Xbox live, and my 2 roommates Xbox live connect and run flawlessly to the SAME router with the same password.

Sounds like a router problem. Do you have security keys setup or mac filtering?

Some newer ones have weird security setups that will let you pull an IP but not actually connect to the internet.

Mac filtering is off. and the password is accepted by my phone.

forgot the network and re-connected. no dice.

Will try reformatting I guess but REALLY don't want to have to do that...

forget the network on your phone and try readding it

this

i would suspect since the router was changed, like most people typically try and do, they put the new router ssid and password the same as the old.

this will cause connection issues.

Tried to forget and reconnect already.

The phone connects to the router just fine as stated above. The ssid and key are totally different.
