This morning on my daily drip for a Mickey D's #4, I noticed a strange noise.
It's a intermitant knock/rattle noticable at idle. Clutch in or out, doesn't seem to make a difference. Once you rev it a little, seems to go away.
I got out of the car, popped the hood and tried to locate the source of the sound.
It doesn't appear to be coming from the engine? It's loudest INSIDE the cabin, or just about mid car. I went for a drive trying to replicate it, and it seems to have gone away.
The car is my daily driver, with 82k miles on it. Pulled since 36k. Runs fantastic and is NOT beat on at all (just a cruiser.... with lots of hp).
Being that I've never replaced my clutch, could that be it?
