intercooler pump question

I searched and found nothing---- Should the intercooler pump always run when the cars running? I tested the pump by jumping the relay and it works but the pump doesnt normally run with the relay in. Does it only kick on when the temps are hot?

IIRC on a stock tune the Innercooler pump will turn on at a certain temp. Guys with aftermarket tunes usually set it to run all the time

I just took off the old relay on the intercooler fuse box, and jumped it. That is by connecting a wire to 2 of the ports, not sure which ones.

Now when ever i have the key in the ON position it is running, as well when the car is on. And turns off when the car key is in the OFF position.

It's temperature controlled.
