Hey guys I'm buying tires for the first time for my 14 gt500. I have stock rims and looking for the best street tire any recommendations? Can I get away from stock size and if so what is the widest tire I can go?
I wanted to try the Michelin pilot sport cut 2 but they don't have them in my factory size. I would have to go up to 295. Just didn't know if changing factory size was a good idea.Michelin pilots are the best, but very comparable are continental extremecontacts and they are almost half the price.

Really depends on what you do with the car. If its a weekend cruiser, no real racing Id go Michelins. If you race her, pick a tire for up front and some Mickey Thompson ET Street S/Ss for the rear.Hey guys I'm buying tires for the first time for my 14 gt500. Get some aftermarket rims, and put some michelin tires on it.I have cup 2 tires.295/30/20,and 325/30/20 out back.I wanted to try the Michelin pilot sport cut 2 but they don't have them in my factory size. I would have to go up to 295. Just didn't know if changing factory size was a good idea.
Hey I'm looking for rear tires the NT555 R2 i've seen on another post you said 305/35/20?NT555RII | Nitto Tire
I’d try these R2 drag radials in the 295/35/20 size out back and these in OEM size up front:
NT555 G2 | Nitto Tire
Good luck.

Saw the PM first but if the 295/35/20 is not available I’d personally run the 305/35/20 no question.Hey I'm looking for rear tires the NT555 R2 i've seen on another post you said 305/35/20?
Brother that is the most confusing response i've ever seen!
I am on the stock 9.5" rear so 295 or 305?
Correct. They both fit. 295 is a better option for the size of the wheel.
The 305 works too. I personally run a 305 nitto on my stock rear wheels. Small buldge, nothing crazy. Car handles as expected with a Drag Radial on the rear. Just fine in a straight line and maybe a little spongy under harder cornering.
