If you do one upgrade, it should be a one piece aluminum driveshaft.

I disagree with you.
What gives you that impression.
What proof do you have to back up your claim?
I have a 4" powerhouse driveshaft that has been on and off the car several times because I do not see any difference besides weight over stock.

I ran my 05 bought new in 05 down to mid 12's with very few bolt ons.
Going from memory the car ran 13.65 stock.
13.25 with a C&L intake and canned predator tune.
12.95 with drag radials added.
12.69 with the long tubes
12.461 with 4.10's

Road race suspension was also added during this time which didn't help weight transfer at all.
The car was run at full weight with Brembos up front and 55lb 285/40-18" wheels.
Skinniest would have shaved of at least another 1/10th.

The car was then blown so I didn't have much time to improve with the new gears.
