The battery light is staying on in my dash. The car runs fine. The battery gauge reads fine. Had the system checked and it's charging correctly. I also didn't get any DTC's when i checked with the SCT tuner. Any ideas why the light is on?

Who tested the charging system?
+2...im having same issues..excepted i didnt get a shop to test it. i used a multimeter to check voltage at the battery. seems to be fine. but then again im no electrician. :/
ok..i removed battery cable while car was on and it turned off. so that means that the alt is bad... well at least thats what i was told..i will remove and take it to get checked tomorrow.
my 96 did the same thing so i replaced the altenator last year and its been fine every since
not sure if you already figured out the problem..but my was the alternator..replaced it today..and batt light is gone...
I'd bet it's the alternator. No one seems to know how to properly load test a charging system but dealers.
Probably have a bad diode.
