I have looked at the cobra bumper option but the lack of aftermarket options had me thinking about modifying my stock bumper. My stock bumper is pretty bad need some TLC before it can be painted.
So i had this idea, to make some relief cuts and fold the lower indent ports flat and glass and smooth it out and remove the mustang logo.
I worked the photo shop on it. To show what i was thinking. ( NOT MY CAR )
Has anyone ever considered this idea.

Kinda cool op, kinda blah, but if you want to do it the fiberglass reinforced poly filler will work good for you, sounds like if you are willing to take this on you have some exp. with this kind of stuff already.

Sand the area down to the bare plastic. Then melt a bunch of abs plastic in acetone. Then fill the areas with the melted abs. Sand smooth, prep and paint. Oh, and photo 3 is my pick. Don't remove the vents. Just smooth out the Mustang indents.

There are already a few different unmarked fiberglass rear GT bumper covers on the market.

I have a friend that just sold one.

You can buy plain rear bumpers. Also possible to plastic weld the letters in and sand smooth. Buying plain bumper is much easier.

Oh, definitely easier. I'm a project guy, and I just always look at things that way. I revel in making my life more difficult than it needs to be.

I'm going to pick up a used bumper from the junkyard and experiment.
I was going to try it on a v-6 bumper too. with no exhaust cutouts.
Since I'm not running tail pipes.
Will post pics later if it works out lol
