muffler shops wont remove cats ...

im going to get rid of the borla exhaust which is why im going the cheap way out first so i can get it off the car and then sell it ... then get a better exhaust and then put LT headers on that my friend is holding for me ...

Only if they are willing to swallow thousands of dollars worth of fines when they get caught.
As for straight pipes, i personally do not like the way they sound, and if i were you i would consider going with midpipes (i prefer maggies), catless should fulfill your need for a louder exhaust.

they sure do....

but the way around it is...you cut them out and have them put a peice of pipe back up in there.....

easiest way....high flow mids and a better catback setup like Magnaflow or Bassani.....it will cure what ails ya....

Not very good. Like a dump truck almost. I ran without a catback for alomst a month and a half (long story, don't ask, wasn't by choice, lol). I couldn't wait till I got a new exhaust on there, lol.

how about 3'' exhaust!

anyone have 3" exhaust on thier truck?? i've thought about getting the cats removed, and have 3'' pipe with my one, one chamber flowmaster. my truck sounds good now, i just wanted to know if it would be worth the hp gain/ and or the noise level. I am in the military stationed in Mo. and my truck plates are TX. so i dont have get my truck inspected in Mo.

high flow mids = stock mids with rear cats deleted. high flow cats is a very midleading statement.
